Create a Life You Love

Everyone has a rough day every now and then. But when your life seems to continue for an extended period of time, it may be time to do something about it. If things in your life are not moving in the right direction, you might feel like there’s nothing you can do about it. You may feel stuck. You might feel trapped. But in reality, you have the power to change it!

When it comes to the circumstances in your life and the things happening around you, you always have three choices. You can remain a victim to the situation, tolerate it, or change it. 

The concept of change can be scary. Many people would rather stay in somewhat unpleasant situations than risk something that could possible be even more unpleasant. The new situation might also be the best thing that has ever happens in your life. If you don’t leave behind your unhappiness, you’ll just never know what great things might be just around the corner. 

If something needs to change and you aren't sure what it is, ask yourself if it may be time to consider the following:

  • Time to change jobs. Our jobs usually take up the largest portion of our lives. If you don't like your current job, the world is full of opportunities just waiting out there. If you know what your dream job would be, then get some training and go for it! Otherwise, seek help from a coach that can help you connect passion with purpose so you can move forward.

  • Time to take control of a toxic relationship. Life is too short to waste on toxic people. If it’s a dating relationship, you may need to end it. If it’s a family member, then the entanglements might be greater, but you do have the power to set boundaries and decide how you want to engage.

  • Time to rid yourself of doubt and fear. Drop the negative self-talk and start living with confidence and strength. Even if you are unsure of what’s next, don’t undermine your path by casting a negative shadow over everything you do. Your words have the power to lift you up or tear you down. Take risks and live with courage. Live boldly and with passion!

  • Time to look inward. If you’ve been sitting around, hoping that your circumstances and the world around you will change, it may be time to stop wishing and hoping. Instead of looking at everyone and everything to change, grow more deeply in maturity with positive thinking, meditation, deep breathing and healthy actions. When you work on your own sense of self, the world around you will change for the better as well. After all, happiness is an "inside job."

  • Time to stop procrastinating. Stop waiting around and hoping that things will get better. It’s time to start thinking, dreaming and taking action. You’ll never know what’s around the corner until you try!
